What is Choya Nakh?
Choya Nakh is among the most potential yet under utilised perfumery ingredients. It is a balsam made by distillation of dry roasted seashells in India.
Choya Nakh oil or attar is typically brown in color with a smoky-oceanic, dry-mossy, woody bouquet and a sweet ambery undertone.
Major Constituents:
This traditional and wonderful oil contains glucosides, isohesperidin, hesperidin, Aurantiamarin, resin, aurantiamaric acid, etc.
Applications of Choya Nakh Attar Oil in Perfumery:
This magical aroma oil is appreciated by the perfume manufactures for its brilliant characteristics that help them in making fragrance oils for candles, room freshener, soap, incense sticks, perfumed oils and more. It is also ideal perfume ingredient to be used as a flavoring agent.
Choya nakh works well with amber accord as well as some smoky notes for a leather accord, thus more efficient for making masculines perfumes or fragrances. Ideally, this attar needs to be diluted well before use.
